Red Plastic Factory owner/designer Nickie specialises in designing and making REconstructed punk / rock / metal / horror tops for chicks looking for unique, cute & deadly styles! Baggy, over-size t-shirts are totally DEconstructed, mixed up with polka dots, animal prints, stripes, skull beads and lace, then REdesigned and REconstructed into unique, custom-made tops! You can even send in your own fav t-shirt for the Red Plastic Factory treatment!

handmade at mosaic

our lovely handmade girls will be selling their wares at the mosaic arts market which is held in Chancellor’s Court behind the Corn Exchange, Leeds. More details about mosaic, including directions to the market, are available on their website here

So get down there and do some christmas shopping and support handmade!

prettycraftythings is a new monthly alternative craft market held on the first Friday of the month at Leeds Met Student Union. With Christmas coming up the December 1st market is an ideal opportunity to buy your loved ones unique and unusual handmade gifts, and support local designers/crafters at the same time.

Highlights of the day include a mixtape trade and a visit from the Victoria Woodcock, co-author of the new alternative crafting book ‘Making Stuff’. For your aural pleasure this month we will be treating you to a alternative approach to the Christmas song!!

There will also be a fantstic raffle featuring jam packed goodie bags from places such as Leeds Craft Mafia and Etsy. All proceeds going to the NSPCC (charity registration no 216401). And for all those boys and girls who have been good this year there will also be mince pies and christmas cookies!
