Name: Michelle Duxbury-Townsley
(founder of the Leeds Craft Mafia)

Michelle was always an artistic and creative little bunny. As she got older her life took over but the lure of fabric goodness and all things sparkly was too strong! As well as organising prettycraftythings, a monthly market for independent and alternative designers and makers, Michelle is currently designing for her new label, your asinine heart, opening a new shop, starting a fab crafty night called MAKE club and instilling the fabulousness of creating and making into the heart of her mini-me daughter!

Name: Becky Wignell
(founding member)

Becky started making her own jewellery to please her tastes for everything bright and tacky. She is inspired by things she finds in chazzer shops, carboot sales and ebay (her new addiction!) and her first thought on anything is can I drill a hole in it? She proudly accepted a recent comparison likening her jewellery to Pat Buchers earrings and now like to think of herself as a Pat for the new millenium.

Name: Kerry Fewster and Claire Hutchinson

The pair met while working as designers in Leeds and formed a friendship that combined a passion for independent fashion and strong views against high street multiples and mass produced clothing.

The goal became to create an independent fashion revolution, fighting against throw away fashion, supermarket collections and the ‘everything you want in one shop’ lifestyle which they believe is sucking fashion’s creative energy dry.

The bats are constantly designing and developing interesting and unique garments and are always on the look out for independent designers who believe in an independent revolution.
